Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was one of the most popular kids shows of the 90’s and when it comes down to gaming the title that Banpresto had created for the Sega Genesis was considered to be very exciting for those who played it. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Sega Genesis was pretty cool 16-bit fighting game because it not only included all of the power rangers but it also gave players the option of choosing the Dino Megazord and Dragonzord during battles. Along with playing with the Power Rangers and their zords there were various villains from the series including Minotaur, Cyclopsis and Goldar that people can also play as. One of the best features about Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Sega Genesis was the Scenario Mode where players got to battle monsters in normal size before fighting them with their zords. The Scenario Mode was something that was not featured in some games within the series including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Fighting Edition where people can only choose the Megazords. One of the features that really made the the Scenario Mode in this game stand out was the cutscenes in between battles which made game feel more like the television series.
In terms of head to head fighting games some would agree that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Sega Genesis was probably one of the best games within the series during the 16 bit era. While Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition for the SNES was fun it lacked an actual storyline which made this 16 bit classic for the Sega Genesis enjoyable. While some may argue that the graphics in the SNES Power Rangers game are superior compared to the Sega Genesis others would agree that the gameplay for Sega is slightly better than Nintendo. Also, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the Sega Genesis is probably one of the few games where people can choose the Green Ranger as a playable character. While other Power Ranger games offer the White Ranger as a playable character having the Green Ranger as one was rare which made this game for the Sega Genesis even more desirable to have. If you were a fan of the Mighty Morpin Power Rangers series back in the early 90’s then you would most likely consider this game to be a classic for the Sega Genesis.
